XD So.. to explain this sudden outburst of corncob affection art. The last week I've been having panic attacks (something I've never experienced before) because of hormones. Which is really nothing to worry about, sometimes life just sucks like that.
Feeling better now of course! Anyway, I discovered while having said panic attacks that drawing this picture, something I probably would have been embarrassed to post before, really helped calm my nerves. So help me, it may be emo, but it's CUTE, and I ENJOYED IT, and I will probably do more. It's Gale and Cara, who share a sort of father-daughter relationship. It would have to be something pretty upsetting for this to happen.. XD Cara's more of a mothering character than the artwork in my gallery shows. A violent mothering character a temper, but a softy none the less. And Gale's just a big cliche teddy bear. He's so cliche I've just stopped apologizing for it. Because if nothing else, everyone who Rps with him seems to be okay with it. He's also 6'9'', I don't think the size comparison here came out quite right, but.. he is a pretty big fella. Edit: Also.. XD Yeah, Gale is 6'9'' but I don't believe he'd be quite THAT big. I definitely made some proportion mistakes. |

I had my first panic attack just recently (Christmas Eve, actually). It was the most horrific experience of my life so far, and it lasted hours. I think it was worse than being hit by that eighteen wheeler, even... Lord, my heart goes out to you. Poor thing...
I know what you mean about big teddy bearz..lol. My oft-backgrounded Enkil is 7'2..I guess he's a little like Gale (Who after Cara, is one of my favorites of your toons..

And no, I don't think you've gotten anything WRONG with this illustration. It's really hard to tell with him sitting down. Generally, what I've heard, is that the proportions are a little bit longer, and that's it. Instead of people in standing position averaging about 7.5 headlengths in adulthood (depending on where you get the information from), it would be maxed to like...8, or 8.5. Just slight elongations.
Funny story, read it if you'd like:
There is a customer who comes in once in a while (I work at Starbucks--in case you never got the memo) who is 6'10" (my old VOID fighter is 6'10"). Every time he comes in, I'm like...staring at him because I'm assessing his proportions. I think more often than not he thinks I'm purposefully oggling him because, well...the dude's HOT.
In any case. I'm glad you're feeling better. I know drawing something "dear" to me helps me feel better sometimes. I never show anyone those pictures, though, because I never finish them.
If someone 6'10 (hot or not) came into my place of work I'd probably oogle at them. Purely because I'd be -fascinated- by the proportions.
And I'm glad you think so! I don't reply to your comments as often as I should. They're always very considerate and well thought out. I appreciate that!

I always cringe when he walks in and out of the door--I'm always afraid he'll skim the top of his head on the doorway. I'm 5'3.5", so, from what I can gather, the top of my head is in line with the bottom-most part of his pectoral muscles. It's definitely fascinating.
And...hey, you do what you can, when you're available to, right? I know everyone is busy with something or another--whether it's drawing, or school, or work... So, no hard feelings or nothing like that. Speaking of, I really need to get back to doing some more banners... Yikes!
