I really hate to post this journal, but I feel like I have to.

A while ago we started a harmless joke about Gale in Draygans Hollow that has somehow spread to the point that I'm hearing it from total strangers, everywhere I go, even on DA. It's not that I mind, I don't really. The content of the joke doesn't bother me. It's the fact that I hear it everywhere I go.

Admittedly I should have put a stop to this a long time ago but I've let it continue because (even though it was getting really, really old), I didn't want to be a stick in the mud. But I am putting an end to it.

When I walk into a conversation, I do not want to talk about it.

It's gotten to be like the wassup and git 'er done jokes that just wouldn't die.

It's spread to the point that I'm now honestly concerned about where it's headed. I've had a couple of folks take it too far, to a place where it ceased to be funny. To places where it shouldn't be funny to anyone.
It also appears to be giving some people the impression that it might be okay to draw what they're saying and I am NOT okay with that.
I love gift art, I do, but if you were to show me something pornographic without my permission I would be very offended.

Don't worry, no one has offended me (please.. please don't approach me in game about this. Just let the subject die or at least calm for a little while).
So there you go! Please, no more perverted Gale jokes. Thank you.

Today is the last day to sign up for the month of January!

The Fantasy exchange I like to take art in could use a few more people.

It's basically a monthly full-color exchange based on fantasy characters. I often use Gale and Cara, but I use them knowing they also have 'fantasy' forms that the artist assigned to them can choose to draw in place of their human forms.

It's a monthly exchange.. we get a random artist from the exchange list as an assignment, and it's a pretty nice little operation!

Fantasy_xchange does have some quality control. You can comment on this journal: [link] To find out if your art is at the correct skill level.
The artists participating are at varying levels, there's no reason to be afraid to try, really!

PLEASE don't join unless you're serious about completing your work.
If you join and don't complete your work out of sheer procrastination and laziness, you need to be ass-paddled by a coconut bra wearing walrus named Sally.
You have 30 days to finish, that's more than enough time. The artists participating turn their work in on time and complete and they deserve the same courtesy.
If you have work or other life issues that prevent you, that's another story! But if you're playing WoW and watching TV instead, shame on you.

The moderators had a short get together earlier and we finally decided that the no stipulation rule for Pixel Jam should be removed.

Though we hate to remove it, we feel it is more fair to the artists participating that they should be allowed to add a 'no-edit' clause to their work. However, Pixel Jam will not enforce their no edit rules and all patches posted outside of the gallery thread are to be 'free-use' items only. Here is the new rule concerning patch posting:


3: Patches posted on the Pixel Jam forums should be free to use (unless posted in your gallery thread).
While we initially wished to keep all items free to edit, we realize that this is a bit unfair to artists who don't want their hard work changed in ways they don't approve of. However, please understand that some jams will be "edit-okay" zones, read the rules of a given jam carefully. Most jams however, are considered "up to the artist" though edit-okay patches are always preferred.
The point of Pixel Jam is to create new art the community can share in an environment where the rules of use are easy to understand. The benefit to you is clear, the more art you make and share, the more well known you become and the higher your chance of receiving commission requests. This rule helps keep our jam threads as clean and easy to read as possible.

When posting on pixel jam, you post at your own risk. If you post an item you do not wish edited and another player edits it and uses it in game, we will take no action whatsoever against that player.


This rule does not apply to the original Furcadia forum thread.

I can't say much more really! The title says plenty. Pixel Jam is back. This time fully staffed (it won't be just me running it, I have pals!), on a good forum, and properly organized. It's the beginning of 2010 and we wish it a long happy life!

Some Furcadia friends helped me hunt down and fix my website hacking issue and my roamheart patch links should be activated soon if not already. I asked someone to deactivate them until the issue was resolved because I don't want anyone's computer getting infected because of my website! It's my responsibility to keep it safe to visit.

I changed some passwords, did some cleanup on my website.. and everything should be fine now. Please, scan any links from my website before downloading patches or material from there. They should be fine, but again, just do that as a precaution.

XD PERHAPS SENSING THAT I WAS IN SLIGHT DISMAY, Wolfy finished a fantasy-xchange piece for me today and it's full of awesome.

Srsly, look at this, full of awesome. I love it.



I also received a gift membership from someone here and I know who that person was now and thank you so much. <3 You made my Christmas merrier.

Another friend purchased PCcam for me so I can ustream whenever I want! That was an awesome gift, probably the one I will use until my fingers fall off. xD

I don't know what they're doing but it's redirecting to westnorth.cn, which is not a link I recognize.
